Why Time Management?

Tension may arise as we face a project ,assignment or actions we must take to achieve a goal. This is caused by an overwhelmedness due to the magnitude of the project , the technicality involved, details that need to be considered. Fear creeps in and there is a mental blackout.

A cold feet normally develops towards the assignment such that you find yourself postponing taking those right actions and occupy yourself with activities not primary to the achievement of your goal.

You know what;  Deep down in your heart you know that you are doing just the wrong things and being just busy. You find yourself anxious but still not making progress.

Apply a Time Management Strategy

A good time management plan is an act of managing your time such that there is total productivity and self well being . Every person has 24 hrs a day , 7 days a week to become that he or she aspires to be . But the actualization of those goal relies on your ability to manage , focus, direct your energies timely and appropriately to actions you must take on a day to day basis.

I have discovered that a good time management planning is very helpful in keeping you disciplined as it relates to the usage of your time . It checkmates you and ensures you keep to what is necessary and do what need to be done.

Steps to Creating an Effective Time Management Schedule

 1. A time management plan should aim at improving your personal  effectiveness.

2.  Actions or activities assigned to a particular time must be simpe enough. By being simple, I mean that you  should start allocating assignments you can understand , manage and and can at least to  an extent relate to . Don’t overwhelm yourself with your schedule.

 3.  Let the most uncomfortable , challenging and vital actions take top priorites .

4.  As the project matures, add new activites/duties to your time management plan.

5.  Respect your body and relationships in your time management. Don’t becomes a workaholic and overly goal -minded that you forget that your body needs  sufficient rest. I don’t know how you hope to ignore your 3 years old in your plan. Make out time to attend to those unavoidable demands of your relationships.

6.  Keep to your plan, in season and out of season. This way you discipline your body and mind to be attentive , focused as it pertains to vital issues of your goal.  You must keep your mind to that which is important to your life by continuously applying yourself to demands of your time management schedule.

7.  Ensure that you review your plan as and when necessary

Application of time management strategy can give a big boost to your  self management and effectiveness.
