How do you feel when you remember that you haven’t done things you know you should do or taken steps you should take? Think you are a lazy person ;get angry and frustrated with yourself for failing.

Procrastination could be caused by over-indulgence in a particular activities ( watching TV, sbrowsing the internet, chatting etc) that you find it hard to switch over to things more important to your personal development. How about working out a time-management plan for yourself? You have to learn to control your time usage. Set goals. This can help you to become more focused and targeted for a purpose.

Have clear priorities in life (everything cannot be equally important and benefiting) . Things you don’t quite enjoy doing are often more important to your personal development. Have a plan for the day and tell someone (who cares about your personal development)about it. This can help you become accountable and stop procrastinating.

Do you get easily distracted and depressed that you find it hard to stay long and focused on a project, thereby procrastinating . There is an ability and peace of God for your mind. Confess the living word of God over your mind. Stop worrying about getting your acts right that will cloud your mind with anxiety, worries and fear which will invariably cause distraction, distress and depression. Don’t get down worrying about your actions that will cause you to procrastinate on performing that action again. Just do it and get moving.

Stop clouding your mind with thoughts of the expected end product of a project. Resist wondering about the project ,rather focus on what need to be done now as it relates to the project .
Learn taking one step at a time , one issue at a time, one level at a time. Concentrate on the task for the NOW. This will checkmate anxiety and help stop procrastination.
